Winter Wings: Bird Celebration at the Hula Lake

 

Upon their arrival from the cold countries to our region we will be welcoming the cranes with a guided hike to the peat marshes, the cultivated fields and the bird watching observation points constructed by KKL-JNF. We will hear about the draining project given as a gift to the fledgling State of Israel in the 1950s in honor of KKL-JNF’s 50th year after being founded, and about the flooding restoration project undertaken by KKL-JNF in honor of its 90th year. We will also hear about underground combustion and about cranes and other birds.

Duration 3 hours. The tour will be offered again in its entirety during the first two weekends of December.

Fee: 10 NIS per participant, including participation in the project for feeding the cranes.
