Free guided tours with KKL-JNF on Friday mornings at 10:00, every week, in beautiful locations all over Israel. Suitable for all ages, duration 2 to 3 hours, combines driving in your own car with short walks on forest trails.
January events:
  • 3.1.14 – Blooming cyclamens at the Hermesh antiquities in the Carmel Forest – circular tour on the southern slopes of the Carmel – hike the new trail blazed by KKL-JNF from the Hermesh burial cave to the cyclamens blooming in the pine forest. Duration 3 hours.


  • 10.1.14 – Beit Keshet Forest scenic road to the observation point viewing the Turan ridge, the Forester’s House scenic lookout and the Karst Trail. Duration 3 hours, by car, with short walks.


  • 17.1.14Excursion for amateur hikers on less familiar forest trails – from the Tombs of the Maccabees to Nahal Natof, with tree planting in the heart of Ben Shemen Forest (including a 1.5 km hike on foot). Duration of excursion and tree planting about 3 hours, includes driving in your own car.


  • 24.1.14 – Travel the unknown roads in Eshtaol Forest, including a short visit to the Eshtaol plant nursery, the panoramic scenic lookout towards Beit Shemesh, and the serpentine climb on Burma Road. Duration 3 hours.


  • 31.1.14 – Excursion inLahav Forest, driving on forest roads and hiking on foot to the ancient synagogue at the Rimon antiquities, where a trove of gold coins was found. Duration 3 hours.
