Netherlands State Secretary of Health, Welfare and Sport Visits Anne Frank Memorial

Two Dutch officials, the Netherlands State Secretary of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Netherlands Ambassador to Israel, recently paid a visit to the Anne Frank Memorial established by KKL-JNF in the Martyrs’ Forest in the Jerusalem Corridor, with the support of KKL-JNF’s Friends in Holland.

On Wednesday, November 9, members of the "Oy Gevalt" Walking Group from Belgium were the honored guests at a ceremony dedicating the forest grove they had recently donated as part of the Carmel Forest restoration program.

Israel Presents the Vatican with an Ancient 400 Year-Old Olive Tree

The Government of Israel and Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund presented the Vatican with an ancient 400 year-old olive tree. The tree planting ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 26th at the Pope's Gardens in the Vatican. At the end of the ceremony, KKL-JNF World Chairman Efi Stenzler presented the Vatican Cardinal Secretary of State with a menorah (Jewish ritual candelabrum).

'Get to Know Israel' Quiz in Argentina

Ángel Dalmazzo, a student from Córdoba in Argentina, was the winner of this year's 'Get to Know Israel' quiz, which took place for the fourth year in a row in Latin America. The first stage of the competition took place on 7th November 2011 at ORT Argentina's Yatay Campus in Buenos Aires.

Goldberg Foundation Literary Prizes Awarded by KKL-JNF

Solar Taxi on the Carmel: It Even Drives in the Rain!

The solar taxi designed by Louis Palmer, a teacher from Switzerland, arrived in the Ofer Forest on the Carmel this morning, where Palmer met students from schools in the vicinity of Haifa. Israel is the fortieth country Palmer is visiting.

For the "Scorpions" Squadron and in Memory of Alon

On November 3rd, a special project was dedicated on the Hazor Air Force Base in memory of Alon Gigi Z"L (Zichrono L'Bracha – Of Blessed Memory) , a young man who was killed in an automobile accident nine months ago on his way home.   The project includes a memorial to Alon, as well as facilities that will benefit soldiers and members of the IDF squadron serving on the base.
