After Herzl’s death in 1904, it was decided to plant a forest in Hulda to commemorate him, along with a house named after him. It includes installations describing the history of the site, an exhibition and a film.

Memory, Strength, Vivacity and Love of Nature: On the banks of Kisalon River in the Jerusalem corridor, KKL-JNF planted a forest to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. The six million trees planted in 1951 are a living monument of eternally green memorial candles for the six million of our people who perished during World War II.
