Location: Britannia Park, the Judean Plain.
Description: A beautiful view from the high summit of Tel Azeka, looking east over the Elah Valley where according to the Bible the battle between David and Goliath took place. Tel Tzafit, identified with the Philistine city of Gath, the city of Goliath, can be seen to the west and beyond it the coastal plain in the area from Tel Aviv to Ashkelon. At the foot of the hill, KKL-JNF has built a picnic site. A two-minute climb along a short path brings you to the top of the hill.
Directions: Drive south from Beit Shemesh on Route 383 and at Tel Azeka Junction (near Zekharia) turn west on Route 383, drive 1.5 km and the gate of Britannia Park is on the left. Drive 1.8 km on the paved road until the junction. Turn north (left) at the junction and reach the foot of Tel Azeka.
